Dennis was born on 14 June 1992, in Meru Kenya, to Silas Gitonga (father) Military, and Jerica Silas (Mother) businesswoman. He grew up with two other siblings, his younger sister Juster Gatwiri and youngest brother Brian Muguna. 

Currently, in 2020 Dennis is 27 Years-old. He grew up in Meru Kenya until in the year 2010 when he relocated to Nairobi city. In Nairobi, Dennis lived in his father’s house in Kahawa Sukari, while attending the college. Whereby, he later shifted to his DJing career in 2014.

In 1996, Dennis joined Michogomone Primary School for his primary education. Later, in class four, he transferred to Maitei Academy, where he completed his initial training in 2005. Maitethia proceeded to Kibirichia Boys High school for secondary education. In the year 2009, he completed his secondary school now set for the next level.

Later, in 2011, Maitethia enrolled for a computer engineering course at The Nairobi Institute of Business Studies. He studied there for two years, and when he completed his Advanced Diploma Course, Dennis decided to follow his passion for music. Then in 2014, Qplus joined Supremacy Sounds Deejay Academy for four months, and he graduated as a qualified as a professional Disk Joker.

Gitonga started as a computer engineer student, and later, he shifted to follow his passion that turned out to be his career. He joined Supremacy Sounds for a DJing course that subsequently employed him as a DJ. He worked with them until 2016 when he decided to be a freelancer DJ.
